Before you start
- Use your own posts or content you have permission to save. Public availability does not grant republication or commercial-use rights.
- Supports public photos, videos, Reels and carousels of up to 20 items. Private accounts, Stories, profiles and shortened share links are not supported.
- The limit is 100 MiB per file and 100 MiB per ZIP. Excessive requests are limited. Look up the post again when a media link expires.
Frequently asked questions
How do I copy an Instagram post link?
Open the post or Reel sharing menu and choose Copy link. Menu placement can vary by app version. On the web, copy the address while the post is open. Use a post URL containing /p/, /reel/, /reels/ or /tv/.
Can I download a carousel with both photos and videos?
Yes. The available public media are listed in post order. Save a single item or select multiple items for a ZIP. If an item cannot be verified, the tool reports an error instead of presenting an incomplete carousel as complete.
Are Instagram photos and Reels downloaded in original quality?
The tool selects the largest available resolution in the response from Instagram, without re-encoding or adding a watermark. It does not restore the camera original or upscale footage to 4K. Check the dimensions shown for each item.
Do I need to log in? Can I save private posts?
No Instagram password, login or cookies are requested. Only data available to logged-out visitors are retrieved. Private posts, follower-only media and age- or region-restricted content are unavailable. This is not an official Instagram or Meta service.
Why does a public Instagram download fail?
A post may have been deleted, or Instagram may restrict server requests. A post visible in your browser is not necessarily accessible from the server. Check the post URL and try again later. For an expired media link, use Find photos & videos again.
Where are files saved, and what data are sent?
Look in your browser download folder or device Files app. On iPhone, you can share a downloaded file from Files to Photos. The server retrieves the link and relays media; previews contact the Instagram CDN. Media are not permanently stored. Temporary lookup caching and hosting operational logs are separate.
